Thinking about a summer camp?
14 February, 2020 Culture Sasha Young
We look forward to welcoming young learners from around the world in 2020 for an exciting camp experience! Through our English courses, The Language Gallery has expanded our students’ language skills while they enjoy exploring famous attractions and experiencing the culture of each location.
Why choose the language gallery?
Learning “The Language Gallery way” is about fun and friendships. Our aim is to ensure all students will grow in confidence when using English. Our communicative method of teaching and friendly, qualified teachers create a safe environment to explore language in classrooms where project work and collaboration is the foundation for learning. Our teachers are carefully chosen for their dedication, passion, and enthusiasm for learning.
With locations across the UK, there is a place and a camp for everyone. We place as much importance on discovering the destination as well as the language and integrate history and culture into all our lessons. This way, we take the learning from the classroom out into the real world with every excursion and activity we do. This gives students the opportunity to discover each destination’s heritage and importance.
When young learners come to our summer camps in London, they are choosing a multicultural city unlike any other in the world. London is one of the most exciting and energetic cities in the world and in 2017 it had 39.9 million tourist visits. No matter what our young learners like to do, they will find that and more in the United Kingdom.
Our prestigious partners will help develop young learners talent.
Pineapple Dance Studios has worked with stars including Beyoncé and Rihanna.
Liverpool Football Club International Academy has produced players such as Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen and Raheem Sterling.
A safe and secure experience is our number one priority for juniors. Dedicated staff is
available 24 hours to ensure the safety of our campers, a high staff to student ratio and a 24-hour emergency telephone ensures young learners will be safe and happy throughout their stay. All of our staff have been through thorough police checks and have undergone basic safeguarding training.
Sightseeing in London or Manchester
Combine discovering a new city with the opportunity to improve your child’s English language skills. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity for your child to explore a new country with The Language Gallery’s juniors camps. Students will take part in language lessons delivered by The Language Gallery’s qualified staff, improving their English language skills and extending their vocabulary using themed and interactive activities.
Combine your child’s passion for dance with the opportunity to improve their English
language skills. Our English Language and Dance programme, designed by The Language Gallery in partnership with the famous Pineapple Dance Studios, is back for a yet another year. 12 – 16 year olds can join us for this exciting opportunity to develop their English language skills whilst learning from professional dance instructors and exploring some of London’s major attractions at the same time.
Professional dance instructors (who have worked with celebrities including Beyoncé and
Rihanna) will deliver lessons that include the theory of dance, warm ups, technical routines and performance. Dance classes will cover urban, hip-hop, street, break dancing and
commercial. Language classes take place at our central London school, minutes away from top sites like the Tower of London, the River Thames, as well as London Bridge.
Football with Liverpool Football Club, International Academy
Working with Challenger Sports and Liverpool Football Club International Academy, the two week English Language Leader Award teaches young learners how to lead others through English language activities by working to develop their communication, organisation and motivational skills.
The programme encourages the young learners to build upon their current English Language skills and completely immerse themselves in the language and environment created by our experienced English Language teaching staff, giving each student the confidence to converse with other students and staff on and the off the pitch.
The English Language Leaders programme covers topics such as; planning, preparing and delivering sports related activity; communication and motivation; cultural understanding; leading teams and activities; vocabulary, listening and speaking. On completion of the camp, all young learners will gain a recognised award from Sports Leaders UK.
