Our staff in Vancouver realise that your time at The Language Gallery (TLG) involves more than just receiving a high-quality education. Everyone you meet here, from teachers to management, will ensure that you enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience.
Hi! My name is Tara. I am the Senior Teacher of TLG’s newest campus in Vancouver, Canada. Born into a family of educators who instilled in me a love of learning, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in theatre arts, from the University of Regina, Saskatchewan. After obtaining my CELTA, I went on to teach in Canada and then internationally, in the Canary Islands and Venezuela, all while gaining valuable classroom experience. With over 12 years of working in the educational field, from director of a learning centre to ESL curriculum designer and beyond, I am thrilled to be a part of the TLG family!

Hi, I'm Juliane. When I was 16, I still had no idea which professional path to follow in my life. Native to Brazil, you are expected to decide on which career you want to follow before you have even completed high school. That experience made me decide to become a teacher, without a doubt in my mind or my heart. Therefore, I took a four-year degree in Language Arts from the Federal University of Mato Grosso in Brazil and never left the classroom after that! I began teaching immediately after graduation and 12 years later, I moved to Canada. I was accepted at University of British Columbia as an international student to take a 2-year Diploma in TESL. I finished the course in July 2017 and started working at TLG right after, in August 2017. I am overwhelmed with the all the school has offer to language learners of all backgrounds. I am grateful to be a part of this enthusiastic, creative atmosphere of sharing modern learning methods and helping students reach their full potential.
Hi, I'm Julian. I hold a Master of Science's Degree in Mathematics from Oxford University in Toronto. I began teaching English at TLG, upon its opening. My priorities are expanding language offerings in the school, as I speak fluent Mandarin, French and Spanish, in addition to English. As a language teacher, I am committed to providing the best services for students of all backgrounds and needs.
Hi, I'm Kandi. I know what it's like to study in a foreign country as I completed the third year of my Honours Bachelor of Arts (French and German) in Mannheim, Germany. I am CELTA certified and I get really excited about helping my students learn and master new things. I love language and literature, and when my nose isn't stuck in a book you can often find me hiking in the beautiful mountains and river valleys of Vancouver's North Shore.
