I have been teaching German as a Foreign Language for more than ten years. My lesson is always learner-oriented as I try to combine their wishes and needs for talking skills with a good detailed and substantial grammar transmission. Learning with a system means that funny songs, videos and texts are as important as improving your grammatical knowledge and developing reading, writing, speaking and listening capacities as well. With true-to-life material we learn useful words and discuss current topics. Besides teaching in Germany, I also taught abroad abroad and thus acquired high intercultural competence which I apply in my lesson. Also I can help out with explanations in Russian, English, Turkish, Arabaic and Azerbaijani.
My name is Laurence and I studied German as a Foreign Language at the Technische Universität Berlin. After the degree I received my MA in linguistics at the Université Stendhal de Grénoble. For the last 17 years I have taught German and French in Berlin as well as Monterrey (Mexico). Apart from that I carry out research in intercultural psychology and medical sociology. My goal is to continue improving my own knowledge of languages in order to help students from all over the world much better to succeed.
Hello. My name is Tina and I have worked as a tutor and teacher for the last three years. I am also a writer and filmmaker, a profession that can get rather reclusive from time to time which is why I enjoy meeting and chatting with people from all over the world during school hours. I am looking forward to your stories and to teaching you the amazing art of speaking German. Genau.
